The Atlanta Journal Constitution published a series of articles that you'll want to read.
I love how the No. 16 hole at Woodmont Golf and Country Club in Canton is described:
“There are a few funky factors about this hole that make it great. An S-shaped creek crosses the fairway and runs in front of the green. A true three shot par-5 – one of three par-5s on the back nine on this Robert Trent Jones Jr. design – that requires all three shots to carry the water. There is potential trouble at every turn. This is one of those holes that causes a player to say, ‘I’d like to play that one again’ when they walk back to the cart.”
If you aren’t playing as much golf as you’d like, please enjoy reading about it.
The AJC's Top 18 holes includes No. 7 at Bobby Jones, No. 16 at BridgeMill Athletic Club in Canton and St. Marlo Country Club in Duluth.
Bobby Jones Golf Course is a revolutionary golf course design featuring multiple tees and large double greens, sometimes even presenting two hole locations. Most days, the Azalea Course or Magnolia Course offers players 9 holes with multiple tee and pin combinations to play a very different loop each time around. Occasionally on select weekends, outings, and special events, the brilliance of the Bobby Jones Golf Course layout showcases both the Azalea and Magnolia nines.
